Favorite Movie?

Postby bozotheclown338 » Sun Jul 04, 2004 7:03 pm

Just wondering what everybodies favorite movies are. Mine would probably be Band of Brothers, which is really a mini-series though.

My favorite movie is "Apollo 13."

As far as mini-series go, I love both "Band of Brothers" and "From the Earth to the Moon."  They are right behind Apollo 13.

Band of Brothers is comming back to TV. Here anyway. So all you cannucks with Satellite can watch it on CHCH Hamilton. No word on an air date. Also comming back to FOX is Family Guy. The cast was on the radio Firday. They were premoting a script reading they'll be doing at the Just For Laughs Comedy Fest in Montreal this summer. Apparently it's due back for this years mid-season (early 2005).

I don't really have a favorite movie. I like Return of the Jedi. Goldfinger and On Her Majesty's secret service are my favorite Bond films. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was excellent too.

American Beauty, Austin Powers (all 3), There's Something About Mary, Vanilla Sky (I know, I know...you just don't get it), Top Gun and A Few Good Men.

No, there's no Tom Cruise theme going intentionally. ;)
Great edit, Bob.

Hard to come up with just one.

I thought Three Days of the Condor (Redford, Max von Sydow, Faye Dunaway) was fairly riveting.

If I wanted to own movies, they would include The Wizard of Oz and The Godfather trilogy, especially the second one.

Mine would be

Love Stinks
American Pie
American Pie II
American Wedding
American Wedding II
Animal House
Happy Gilmore
Big Daddy
Saving Privet Ryan
Forest Gump
Catch Me if You Can
All the Star Wars and James Bond films

I can go on and on, so hard to pick. BTW did anyone else here read the Band of Brother's book? I personally like the book more than the mini-series. First, the mini-series got random things threw into it by the directors, and those are really hard to understand if you hadn't read the book, and second, the book didn't have confusing French subtitles (I know how to turn on subtitles on my DVD player, but not off)......... ::) ::)

I also love Simpsons, haven't missed a single eposide since I discovered that FOX wasn't missing from my Cable company, its just channel "2".

Cheers
Jeff

P.S. Anyone else here watches AMW? I swear one of these days Ozzy and Fozzer are gonna be on it ::) ::) ;D ;D

Probably the Star Wars or Indiana Jones movies.  The Lord of the Rings movies were great too.  A Clockwork Orange is also one of my favorites.  Pulp Fiction is another... ah, so hard to pick a favorite movie, I could go on all day :)

top gun, seen it over 100 times now
Star trek, First contact, Great movie brilliant acting
Star trek, Nemesis most people dont like this, but i have found after watching it a few times it grows on you and the dialog between Picard and Data, and Picard and Shinzon is really good
Day of the Titans, if you havent seen this movie rent it, and you'll see why
Silence of the Lambs. Maybe its the slightly off side of me but i love the one on one scenes between Hannibal and clarice, getting into the mind of him just amazing acting.

I rather like A Hard Days Night. But I wouldn't say it's my favorite movie.

If I had to choose my favorite would be Monty Python And The Holy Grail.
