Glitch. Thanks for posting this. I'm so sorry to hear the news. :(

Bill was one of the real characters when I got involved in this hobby. I remember he was always having problems with his website & complaining bitterly about the host server. We lost touch & I hadn't heard from him for a long time. He did post a message on this board a short time ago. I must try to find it.

I just got off the phone with Catherine. Bill willed his body to medical research. Catherine asks that instead of flowers, donations be sent to the hospital that cared for him at the end. It is the University of Alabama, Birmingham, Medical West Facility. I will get the address to you as soon as I can. The memorial service will be at The Church of the Highlands, office complex in Birmingham

Arschloch's memorial service will be celebrated 2 P.M. Saturday July 10, 2004 at the Church of the Highlands, Office complex, 7051 Meadowlark Lane Birmingham, Alabama. 35243 U.S.A.

I have had no luck Finding a donations address for University of Alabama, Birmingham Medical West. The UAB hospital system seems to only have automated answering machines. My Wife is going to give it a try tomorrow.

My wife found the address for donations University of Alabama, Birmingham Medical West .   995 9th Ave. S.W.
Bessemer, Alabama 35022. (205) 481-7000. They said it would be best to put a Department attention to: notice on any donation. I would guess the Hospice department. It is a little late to call Catherine tonight to find out if she has a preference. I will call her tomorrow to find out.

I talked to Bill's son today. He said the department to make the attention to was, Western Health Services. He also gave me the address the family is using:

  University of Alabama, Medical West
c/o Western Health Services, In memory of William Higgins
  P.O.847
  Bessemer, Al. 35021

The other address will still get it there, but please make sure it is marked c/o Western Health Services, In memory of William Higgins. Thanks to all.
