Viral alert

There is a new type of virus emerging that could affect some of our users. It targets dial-up users at the moment, causing them to connect to premium rate lines whenever they try to access the internet.
I haven't got to many details yet, but I'll post more as I find them.

Bugger! My subscription to norton antivirus expired yesterday too! I guess It's time to get NAV2004.

I think you can manually download virus definitions for NAV from Symantec's website without a subscription. Don't quote me on that though.

I find that Norton are pretty quick off the mark when my 12 months subscription runs out... :o...!

Tis true!
I just had a few blocked by my firewall, one in particular is coming from "ThePlanet.com" I reported to thier abuse dept that i don't appreciate them trying to access my system and that it would be reported if it doesn't stop.
I went through this before and now wait for the reply that they don't do this kind of thing blah blah blah!! And then I'll send them the detailed reports from my firewall and they will appologise and promise it won't happen again!

So yes be sure to have the latest updates, firewall on, etc!!!
I just had a bad virus last week and it ain't fun fixing the damage they can cause!
