The transit started at 6 AM and finished at 12 Noon.

Managed to glimps it today with the binoculars and a piece of card ......... and yup I did remember not to look intasdf ntrkisdgfntr ythe sun...  ;D
so thats what that black spot in my vision is

Do you know what...
I got up at 5:30 this morning to set up my observatory in my garden.
My beloved Sister 'phoned me from the roof of her multi-storey flat in Fulham, (London), at 6:00 AM to check if I was also watching the astrono.....event...
So I rekon, judging by the response to this subject, Me and my Sister were the only two people in the whole world, up at 6 O-clock this morning, to observe this amazing...(I will only say this once more), astronomical event... ...!
Everyone else was in bed, fiddlin'.....?.... ...!

LOL Fozzer. I wasn't able to see it.

sadly my telescope was packed and in the back of the removals van so i couldnt check it out
