Too bad I didn't see or hear it. My dad has a night job and he called us before I went to school to see if it was on the news. Must of been some brilliant display! *Take note that the pics is around 3:00 in the morning. Looks like daytime!*

Yeah to view it you have to register which I don't know why they require you to...none of the other news websites has a register/log-in.

Meteor....?..... in Washington.... right near Whidbey Island of all places.... ?....?....

Meteor my a$$. ::)

As I recall Andrew lives in Idaho (potatohead ;D), which is way out of range of seeing what goes on in SEA. You european and U.S. east coast guys don't realize how big the western states are. :)

Well if you read the story correctly, the meteor could also be seen in Idaho and as far south as Portland, Oregon

I saw pics and videos of it on the news in Denver, Colorado! The anchors said it illuminated the sky like day!

I'll tell you what I did find useful from this thread....

http://www.seattle.gov/trafficcams/harbor_island.htm

A huge selection of live video cameras covering a large area of Seattle... 8)...!
Does anyone else have a link to a site near them showing live video pictures of where they live... ;)...?

I store these sites in my "Video Camera" folder.
At the moment I have them for San Fransisco, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.... ;D...!

...any more nice ones out there...?

Cheers all...!

Paul.

Fireball over Washington State....

..."...did the earth move for you, darling...?...".... 8)...!
LOL...!

The nearest webcam I can find to me is at Brighton. http://www.bbc.co.uk/southerncounties/webcams/brighton_camera_pop_up.shtml

We used to have a local beach webcam until the owner's house burned down in 2003.

This site should keep you busy for a while. http://www.ukwebcameras.co.uk/
Be careful which ones you look at or you might see more than you bargained for. :o ;D

Here's a webcam of my hometown... You have to scroll down and click "Oak Harbor Elementary Animiation". Theres a few trees in the way but beyond that is the Harbor and I am not sure what angle the camera is pointing at but you should be able to see Mt. Rainier (very rare sight from here) or the Olympic Mountains on a clear day...Heres a live pic of Seattle. You can actually move this one 360*. This cam is located on the Space Needle

I used to have the URL to Mt St. Helen's live webcam, but I lost it a few years ago :-[
