>:( >:( As star trek enterprise was on its death bed(hold your cheering) a petition signed by enough people was handed to UPN who have agreed to give the show at least one more series. There are also rumours the final episode could include an apperance  by the Enterprise E >:( to avoid spoiling the series for those who havent seen it, i wont say why, and those who have seen it will know why,, and how it would happen. However these are only rumours as no info what so ever has been released about the episode.
I would be awfully annoyed and disappointed if they did though while the Sovereign class enterprise has slowly but surely replaced the galaxy class as my favourate ship, to have them rely on that for viewers would be wrong.
Finally, some new guy has taken over the writing of the books, or at least i think he is new. The latest books take off after the Nemesis movie events, however the books still include Data as though nothing happend. Secondly in the books to be released, the writer actually has the Enterprise and her crew written into a storyline the disgraces Picard and the crew, and has the Enterprise demoted from the position of flagship, personally i think this guy should be shot, firstly for his obvious lack of knowledge(the Enterprise after the encounter with the Scimitar, was given a huge upgrade in terms of weapons and shielding and is now more powerful than even the scimitar and borg cube, making it the most powerful ship in the star trek universe)  and secondly because Picard and his crew are considered by many as the best crew that the ship has had. now ok this post is long winded, but i honestly think the owners of the star trek brand have lost the plot, or at least control over whats done with the differant series. You dont tarnish Picards name, you certainly dont demote the Enterprise(also larger than the other two sovereign classes)
oooh i am on a rampage tonight ;D

I think you take star trek a little to seriously. You talk about it as if its real. :P ::)

I still hold out hope for "Enteprise", I find the conflict between the Vulcans and the Andorians intersting, as well as the insite into the beginnings of the Federation.

Frankly if it hasn't got Cpt. Kirk and some pointy ear twit and lots of women with mini-skirts and beehive hairdos, then it isn't the real thing ;D

ozzy,

Tupal is both pointy eared twit and woman in miniskirt.  She's also Capt. Kirk in the "we need an excuse to get a character's shirt off" sense.

I think Enterprise deserves to stay.  This season is a 1000% improvement over last season.

I have to say Craig, I've started to watch Enterprise again in recent weeks and it's better than it was when I stopped watching it. I agree they should not have to rely on bringing the Next Gen into it to save it though. I think if they had stuck to exploring the Trek universe rather than setting off on a "Save the World" quest it would have made a better show.
Is it just me are are they now using any excuse to let T'pol get her kit off ;)

PS, Best show on TV at the moment is the awesome 24.

while its better than it was, its still at best poor.for those wondering the last episode stinks of nemesis,

I always smile when I saw the opening to that show. It was filmed in the town that my dad grew up in. The church that he drives by? Where my dad went to church until he enlisted in the Navy. That street? The same street he walked to school on. :)

Here's one for Craig. T'pol I think is mentioned in the original Star Trek. (I think it's the one where Spock has to fight Kirk over a mate.) Could it be the same one? Vulcans do live a long time.

i honestly dont know if its the same one, i remember it being mentioned. Could be, i believe it would be what, 200 years after the enterprise time-line, well within vulcan life span
