Just heard this on Hungarian TV, that the US Government (Transport Security Administration?) is vastly increasing the numbers of security screeners at major airports to try and cut down passenger waiting times.
Is there any truth in this one, or is Hungarian TV blowing hot air again?

this is indeed true, major airports with long waiting times will be given more screeners to stand around doing little, i believe its an attempt to discourage those airports thinking about going back to private screeners.

the only good thing out of this is the news, that air travel is predicted to increase over 15% this summer from last, which will certainly help airlines needing money
