EAA/Osh Kosh

Postby Wing Nut » Sat May 08, 2004 10:38 pm

I'm planning on attending EAA this year, even if I have to sleep in my car to do it.  We're only about 5 hours away now, and when we move to Florida next year, I may never get another chance.  I was wondering if anyone else is planning on attending.  Perhaps we could get together...   :)

Nope, not going, but would really love to be there as well.  Perhaps in the future when the funds are available I will partake of this beautiful feast of heavenly bodies...:-)

Kev, even if nobody goes, you should defiantly go. You are so close and will never be able to just say...."Let's Go", even if it is a couple of hours away.
Hell, I used to sit on "The Long Island Expressway" for 3 hours in "rush hour" just to get into Manhattan to got to work!!
This should under normal conditions should only take 40 minutes!!

Most of us can't say " Should I Go? "
Pack the cooler, get a 16mb digi card and get your tail over there!!
See you in the Photo's Forum!!!

Gearhead Albania is not a million miles from my stamping ground in southern Hungary ;D What are you doing over there?

Ozzy

PS. Kevin lots and lots and lots of lovely pics please :-* I understand the Supermarine Spitfire Mk26 will be there (the first one completed in the US), and there should be quite a few of Wag Aeros toys.... you know my leanings ;) ;D

I don't care if I have to take a sleeping bag and hitch-hike to get there; I am going.  Hotels fill up pretty quick, so I need to see if I can find one now.  I'm looking forward to seeing that Spitfire, plus Bob Odegaard's Corsair...

I was planning on it, but it looks as if it won't happen this year  :'(

I am planning on going to the Heritage Trophy show in Dayton, OH the beginning of July.
And then make the trip to Peoria, IL towards the end of July for the airshow there, Blue Angels are suppose to be there!!

Have a good time Pippin!!! It should be a blast!!!

When is the Peoria show?  You can bet I'll be there.  It would be nice to meet up with some fellow SimV'ers.  :)

At present time it is scheduled for July 24-25, not too long ago it was the 17-18???

http://www.prairieair.com/

In Feburary I was in Bloomington, IL for the DC3 ground school and I really like the area, and the people at the Prarie Aviation Museum were a great group of people!! Really made my time in Bloomington a great one! They told me about the show otherwise I wouldn't have heard of it, but because of the friends I had met there am making plans to go back! That and the Angels!!!!!!! Not to mention the Ozark DC3!
I think it would be great to meet up with some fellow simmers! Since I have no idea yet as to the layout of the show I wouldn't have a idea where to meet! I'll see if I can get a map of the layout and maybe post it so we can pick a meeting area!

That would be awesome. Did you go to Dayton last year to see the Blue Angels, T-birds, and snowbirds? That was a very cool experience.
