The Spruce Goose or an A-380?  I think the Goose has held the record for largest plane for a long time, but now it may be broken...

The goose is still bigger than the scarebus, but the An-225 is bigger than the goose as I recall. I don't know how. My old house is about 20 miles from that museum, and I have done hundreds of touch and goes at the Mcminnvile airport next door to the goose, as well as been in there next to it. It is absolutly mind numbing that that thing flies, MUCH LESS, FLOATS AS WELL!!!
Ifthe goose is that big, than I am scared to see the AN in person.

If I remember right, the An-225 is bigger in everyway except for wing span.

 The plane you are refering to is the german designed ANTIOV 225, and it is a monster like a hanger with wings.
I use to work at KJAX ( jacksonville int.) and saw the smaller version of this plane the AN 221 I use to have to fuel it and  would put anywhere from 30,000 gallons to 45,000 gallons of fuel on this bird and beleive me it is able to hold a lot more.
That more gas than ones famaly would use in a lifetime.

The 225 had the biggest fuselage ever to take to the air, but the Goose the longest wingspan. I haven't checked the 380s specs but I imagine she'll give them both a run for their money and become my new stunt plane

From what I have seen, the saftey and maintenance record for the C-5 is way better than that of the Antonov.
