Simviation Thief?

Hi all. I was looking on ebay for flight simulator add ons and I came across a guy who was selling copy CDs of games. I looked down at one of his copys and I thought I recognised some simviation stuff. Look if your interested and tell me what you think. Note particularly at the last part of his sales, i.e with easyjet. The link is:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... gory=11051 If I'm wrong then oh well, but he has a history of copy violations of microsofts stuff. Is this common? If it is simviation stuff I feel very much for those who spent many hours in working on these free add ons for others.
Regards
Ben

i along with many members have seen these people trying this before. They take a bunch of freeware and sell it off at their own profit. It happens too often sadly

Is this Simviation stuff?
Is there not any way it can be reported if it is?

Interesting. Some of these might be freeware files but I would say the vast majority are payware. The developers might well be interested.
For example:
PSS Phoenix 747-400 Simulation Airbus
PSS Airbus 319, 320, 321 series

http://secure.simmarket.com/default.php?manufacturers_id=112Is this Simviation stuff?
PS. Simviation does not own the files. Many files posted here can be found on other sites.

Interesting. If it wasn't for the payware,I'd find nothing wrong with selling a CD with add-on packages on it.
Okay,he didn't ask the developers of the freeware files for permission and he violated a "law" in the "freeware-world", but what if the guy who buys the disk doesn't have internet? It'd be the only way for him to get some add-ons. And if the disk is sold for just two pounds and really consists of 700 mbytes of add-on packages, it'd be totally okay.
But if he's illegally selling add-on stuff...no way! :-/

There would be no problem if he was selling the original CDs. From the description these files are all on one CD. There is no way of telling how many copies he made.
If it wasn't for the payware,I'd find nothing wrong with selling a CD with add-on packages on it.
Whether it's freeware or payware this is piracy.

basically these files are copywrited to the maker of them, thus they decide if its payware or freeware, and money made from their file should goto them regardless of it being a few pence, or pounds they spent their time working hard on it.

I don't agree with making any illegal copys of anything. It's plain stealing in my opinion.
What annoyed me most was what the guy said. Did u see his feedback? He said to all those who left him a neg. or neu. that they should have asked him whether they were originals or copys. In other words, it was their own fault they bought what they did. >:(
I'm only 16. Some of u, especially u Hagar, are much older. U could tell the official sites, I'm sure they would love to know. At any rate whether something is done or not, he shouldn't get away with it.
Regards
Ben

You're quite right Ben. I hate this sort of thing too. I've mailed the ones I can identify. What they do about it is up to them.

Well done Hagar. Thanks for doing it, I was not brave enough. I hope he's done nicely. I'm glad I spotted him. He wasn't just doing it with flight sim stuff either, he was doing it with all sorts of games and software.
Regards,
Ben

Well spotted Ben. I'll keep you informed if I hear anything.
Unfortunately we're fighting a losing battle. Too many people out there see nothing wrong with this sort of thing. From what I can make out this guy's been reported before & yet he's still happily doing business.

the law is unambiguous, you pirate, you pirate. At my university there are very serious penalties for plagarism and copyright. These people should be hung . . . .
