I was to the side banging on the "launch" button multiple times until the rocket finally lit

Don't you just hate it when that happens.
I especially hate it when the darn engines won't light;
I'm deathly afraid to go near it when that happens.

Sweet rocket by the way.
Come to think of it, I still have to test my AMRAAM.
I'll take some pics if I can ever find all my stuff.

Just travel to the ex-USSR-states,buy a decommissioned ICBM (about $ 20,two bottles of vodka plus a Rolex),put out the warhead, stuff your unwanted relatives in the now empty warhead bay and there ya go!  8) ;D

The german's got a point, there are plenty of those things floating around that region. I don't know how we would get it back to the U.S. though.... ;)

Yeah, the take-off was pretty sweet but the landing...well,
umm...
yeah- let's just say that was another story :P

Luckily, the teacher had a spare slingshot and fishing line in his truck ;).  We were able to get the rocket out of the tree it landed in, but the altimeter only recorded 41 feet (the height of the tree) :-[...

Oh well, maybe next time well get more acurate results ;)

NO THANKS! I prefer to be on the kicking, not reciving, team of the USAF AIM-120's. They aren't very friendly when armed, and neither is NORAD. ;)

What the bloody hell is the USAF going to do about an ICBM? As far as i'm aware they are still uninterceptable and Mr. Bush's Starwars project still doesn't work properly. :P

that is why my friends, there are subs sitting underwater in various hidden locations. While little can be done to stop an ICBM(not impossible though) the whole point is, the subs then fire a return missile. If one countries going to be crippled, then so is the other. There are quite a few subs, both allied and not so allied:) most likely hiding in various American and British and Russian, waters all with those missiles trained onto the capitals.

Quite contrare, old chap. It has been proven that the 120's could lock, track, and kill ICBM's when they got low enough. :D

Only a matter of time till star wars, gotta work out the kinks.......

Either way I ain't going to be the poor looser to test it. ;D
