About as safe as anything else on E-Bay!

If you know & trust the vendor, great, go save yourself some money. If you get suckered, don't fall over in shock. ;)

Buyer beware.....  ;)

Every now and again I manage to get an OEM version of a program from my friendly computer retail chappie.
Windows, Norton, etc...
(They are the disks that are used to install programs on customers computers).
The OEM versions are half the price of the retail versions, (in boxes), but not easy to get hold of... :'(...!
The OEM version of Windows XP Pro costs around

lol...no fancy boxes for me...:-) (well in most cases anyways)

Windows XP and office XP for $30! from the school! $900 dollars of software...

I also got office 2003 from a friend who had bought it, and it wouldn't run on her computer...:-) Cost to me...free! :-)

you can only get OEM versions of softwares (i.e. XP Pro, XP home, office) in Australia when you by certain major components of a computer (i.e. a mother board and processor, a harddrive and motherboard) other than that it is illegal to by OEM versions of software.

In the USA purchasing a $6 cable qualifies you to purchase OEM software from some resellers.

i don't doubt that there would be certain 'underground' ways of obtaining them anyway. . . . .
