Lord Of The Rings - Scenery - fly it.

If you're a movie buff you'll  know what I mean.    I get to fly the New Zealand terrain daily, great stuff, but what ever you do, don't rely on Microsoft or you'll think you're in Saddam's area, (flat sand-pits.)      The filmed scenery is really there, but you've got to download and install it yourself.

I have been compiling scenery and mesh terrain for years, flew over the Hobbit camp recently, and what about those Mountains of Flame ?

I wonder if Bill Gates will actually send someone out here to have a look for a change ?

I think you're whistling in the wind on the meshes Bazza, most of England seems to be modelled on the flat earth principal :P
Thank goodness there are lots of great designers out there making things right. Which meshes are you using for NZ? As I often flap around there for a little relaxation ;D

Hi Mark,

Go to www.massey.ac.nz

select Scenery and NZ 150 Mesh.    It also works with FS2004 although it doesn't state that.     Having done that try flying into Milford Sound thru the Mountains, one of the great flights.
