Seeing how LOTR swept the Oscars tonight, I thought I might try a little Oscar trivia...

George C Scott was quoted in 1961 as saying he would never accept an oscar as he thought the Academy had become over commercial and too glitzy. He was also quoted as not liking Patton as a character or a person and therefore was not going to accept the Oscar.
