When I first looked at this picture, I assumed the plane had crashed into the truck. Actually it is the opposite, but I just assumed it and I'm willing to bet others here did too. Why do you suppose that is?

Is it me or is the aircraft's front wheel off the ground? It's strut is extended!

One can only assume the truck driver forgot to shove his labrador on the roof to tell him which way to go

i would have dropped that student out of the plane at 4000 feet,:);)
As for that, i am guessing it was going a little to fast, tried stopping but got caught on some jet fuel, and seeing how its wet on the floor, anyone who has tried walking on jet fuel covered ramsp in the rain knows its leathal.
Funny pic though:)

Having witnessed several accidents of this type in the past I assumed the truck hit the plane. This is more common than you might think.

I have also seen several where the aircraft has hit something including other aircraft. This usually causes more damage.

Hard to tell for sure, but it does look like the nose has been lifted off the ground. The nose gear scissor links are fully extended and the A/C attitude seems too nose high compared to normal.
Actually easy to tell who hit who...look at the A/C chocks sitting on the ground. They've been left in place as par tof the investigation...not in place to secure the plane post-incident.

Just as well this wasn't in the UK. The driver of a RH-drive vehicle would have suffered serious if not fatal injury.
OR - Maybe it wouldn't have happened at all with a RH-drive vehicle..

I once had a picture of a small plane that had been hit by the prop of another aircraft. It looked like a loaf of sliced bread.

LOL
the wheel isnt off the ground if you search for the picture over at Anet and look at the large version, it seem the strut may have extended but the wheels still on the ground.
