I will neither dispute nor agree with your statements, as you present them, but *for me* the overall account  of an otherwise serious event is diminished by having included all those "Simpsons" cartoons.

Elvis. In the way you've presented this so far I'm not sure if it's meant seriously or some surreal fiction. If it's true you've missed out a few important points. You don't say where it took place or who this aircraft belonged to. If it was a C-141 Starlifter I assume it was a USAF aircraft. In that case I would have to ask why a civil airline employee would feel they could just walk on board & have a look round without being invited. What surprises me is that you even got through the hangar door. ::)

I'm not too well up on Australian politics so have no idea what happened to the Prime Minister you mention. We have a rule on this forum not to discuss politics anyway. I will agree that some of the things done in the name of security are worrying. These people seem far more powerful than any politician. I'm sure that you're not the only one this type of thing has been done to.

You're talking in riddles. If you want a serious discussion let's have it straight.

I still fail to see why you assume that a civil airline employee has the right to look around an operational military aircraft, whatever your rank or whatever security pass you might hold. The fact that this was another country's aircraft makes it worse. In some places you would have been arrested & thrown in jail for much less.

OK. That's a little better. I hate riddles. As I understand it so far we're talking about a foreign military aircraft parked in a hangar you had access to. It obviously did not belong to your company or your country. You still haven't explained what you thought gave you the authority to look round it or go on board.

PS. I have to say that your spelling & grammar don't give the impression that I'm talking to a senior flight crew member of a major international airline. ::)

No offense but it wouldnt have mattered if you had top level australian military clearance, the plane is property of the United States AirForce, it could be placed in your driveway and it wouldnt give you any right to board the aircraft without permission. A simple request and showing of your badge beforehand would have prob been your best choice. Only other way i can think of explaining it. If you parked your car in your local supermarket car park, and left it unlocked, came back and found somone sitting who claimed to be an employee in it going through your stuff i dont think you'd be to happy either LOL
If i have missed something i am sorry

I've had both military clearances and civilian airline clearances, and I've never had access to a facility such as this.

And, ironically enough, even if I did, I wouldn't be at liberty to discuss it on an internet message board.

Sometimes you just need to look carefully at the posting history of the member and make draw your conclusions from that. ;)
Great edit, Bob.

You know from the way he talks reminds me of the mall security guard right after they get thier arm patch and flashlight. They think they are the "Law" and have all the rights and duties of real Police Officers ;D ;D ;D

But in all seriousness Elvis if you want to tell your story please tell it in a manner all can understand, no riddles, cartoons, and useless babbleing. I know I might be contridcting myself as some of my post are long winded, but I do think that I get the point across without the "cliff hanger" story lines.
And if you blame it on rum, maybe you should be sober before posting ;)

Too bad that the original post here was removed.

I just heard on the radio that there are talks between the US and Australian governments for the prepositioning of US military equipment in Australia.

Perhaps the original posting referred to an event related to this agreement, into which he unwittingly walked.

I can see where the poster's "anytime, anywhere" access to the company's facilites may have led him to believe that he could walk into a company facility (hangar) unimpeded.  However, his company failed in either providing adequate warning there was "something special" going on, or in providing security to prevent anyone without the appropriate "special occasion" clearance from going in.

You are so true, No warnings were issued, for entrance to the Hangar, it was the first officer of our flight who told us that a US air craft had landed out of Curfew, and Australia just didn
