Anyone know what qualifications one needs to work for AMD in their chip building departments?

Well, okay. So, is it: rip apart the potatoes and carefully fry them, or, carefully peel the potatoes and forcefully place the chunky potatoes into the boiling hot oil?

OK, I guess I should have checked the site first. Get the aspirin packet handy, this is the spec needed for a Microprocessor Reliability & Test job. Sounds good, doesn't it. Wel here is what you need:
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BSEE. Minimum 10 years experience in the semiconductor field. 3 years experience in semiconductor reliability. Assembly and test experience is desired.
If anyone else is interested the URL for job seekers is http://www2.amd.com/gb-uk/Corporate/Car ... 1075406158

Are you sure this is a job????

Seems to me, once you have done the neccesary University courses, got the required experience, you would be classed as too old to employ in this modern world.

sometimes what you learn in books is not enough, AMD is a top company and cant afford mistakes, like alot of other jobs you dont start at the top but work your way up. Best bet is to work for small private companies, get experiance up, try to work with as many differant parts of a computer to show your broad knowledge. Then after you have what they want apply.
