I was curious if anyone here will be attending the DC3 Flight School on Sat, 7 2004, in Bloomington IL?

I'm all ready, bags packed!! Will be leaving at 4am Friday for the 9 1/2 drive to "the land where weather sucks!".

Pippin your in Chicago aren't you?  If so did those ice storms hit like they said?

Also if anyone is familar with the Bloomington area, is there anything else to check out besides the airport while there?
I'll be staying until Sunday night and then I'll head to Indianapolis, going to check out the Brickyard! Never been there and always wanted to go and its on the way home!

Let me know if you are attending, maybe we could meet and you can slap me around for some of the postings I have made here

Only about 8 hours from here in Ohio...

oooo, do you get actual flight time in DC3? if so, spill the beans , Im interested for next year

Jared: I did announce the school last Novemeber here in the forums, I found out about it myself from douglasdc3.com.

As far as actuall flight time, uncertain at this time but you know I'll do my best to get in the cockpit!!! (legally  ;D ) They do offer full training and ratings for a good sum of money but the Ground school (sorry I called it "flight training") is the first step to flying the most beautiful bird known too man!!!
I'll keep you posted when I return, I'm on my way out the door now so hold down the fort for me until I get back:)
And Jared I'll be coming through Ohio about 9am wher do you live? I'll let you hitch a ride
