RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. -- David Bradley spent five minutes writing the computer code that has bailed out the world's PC users for decades.

The result was one of the most well-known key combinations around: Ctrl+Alt+Delete. It forces obstinate computers to restart when they will no longer follow other commands.

Bradley, 55, is getting a new start of his own. He's retiring Friday after 28

Neat Story!
I have never given it much thought about who wrote a code that is used by everyone who owns a computer.
Gotta love the statement directed to "Mr. Software"  ;D ;D ;D ;D

...I've lost count of the number of times I have pressed "Ctrl-Alt-Delete", only for my monitor to stare blankly back at me and and do absolutely zilch.... ::)...!

Buggar!...switch off at the mains...re-boot...disk check... ::)...!

ah, the ol'e three finger salute...luckily with my new system I have only had to use it now more than 10 times in the past month or so! God bless the Athlon! ;D
