Time for a new computer

Well, basically, I went over to a place that sells computer components dirt cheap. Well, here's the thing. I was going to buy a new hard drive, and, the smooth talking guy, basically sold me $800.00 of stuff (which, I have absolutley no idea how I will afford - I take checks and cash ;D) and, now, I have a very nice computer to build. Basically, 3.0 Ghz, 120 Gb hard drive, ATI 9600 Pro 256 MB video card, Harmon Kardon sound system, 1 GB of memory (2 512mb sticks), Sound Blaster Audigy2 Platinum, Altec 550 watt power supply, ASUS motherboard, and, a nice looking case.

Now, can somebody help me put it together? Ken? Wendy? SabreHawk? How about someone closer? Bman, too far. . . . . besides, I hate Cali. . . Hmmm. Does anyone live on the West Coast, (preferably who knows how to build computers) between Seatle, and the southern border of Oregon?

That's an incredibly good buy.. lots of computer for $800

Does he sell on-line ?

Oh.. and I'm sure you'll be able to piece it together.. it's pretty straigh-forward.. All new components and WinXP makes it easy (bites lip for saying good of ANY windows)

I've talked people through it, over the phone before.

Indeed again, does he sell online? Those are pretty much the spec I want, and only for $2,000.

Computer or abstract art? :)

But I bet it makes routine maintenance a breeze?

 Great airflow!
I'd be worried about dropping something on it.

Looks like a nice setup there Brad, if you like, I'll trade you straight up for my system as it sits and then all your assembly worries are over....heck, I'll even throw in my 19" monitor but not the Saitek X-45...........some things are sacred !
If you want to try gettin some of it together, then ICQ me and we'll see what we can do....hope you have a mic and the full version of ICQ,  'cause then we can use the pc to pc phone feature.....same as a phone call but no charges ........

Really, I didn't know that. Sure, I'll get it. I need to gut out my old computer. But sorry, no trades.

another awesome program for voice ($0.00  :) and free of adware/spyware) is Skype ( www.skype.com ) i use it to do long distance to family in the united states and on 56k it is still prefectly clear (better than a normal phone call) but it is rather laggy, but on broadband  it sounds better than a phone call and is nearly instant.  :D
