Craig. Is this something new? I'm sure I saw the same list some time ago. Seems a tad strange to me. I wondered at the time why we only get to keep one. Oh hang on, I don't remember Manchester being mentioned before. What's the significance with Barbados? ???

I too questioned the Barbados choice. Now if it had been Brazil I could have understood as she used to fly there, but Barbados? Do they have anything bigger than a grass strip for GA?

hagar the list i originally posted was a leaked list and not confirmed.
as for barbados, in recent years Concorde has flown summer routes twice a week to there and back.
this list is now the officially released list from BA.

The list is the same as the one thats been around for a week or so.

Manchester has been trying to get a musuem/park at the airport for some time, and the Avro RJX prototype went there a few months ago...

Apparently someone wants to start an aviation museum on Barbados with one of the Concordes. I'm trying not to be a pessimist but a guy said he was going to do the same on Cyprus with a couple of Shackleton's about ten years ago. They now look like scrap... :(

Theres been a bit of hear-say back home about one possibly going to the Cosford Air Museum, They seem more than capable of keeping one of them, considering the short list of rare aircraft they keep (Vulcan, Victor, EE Lightning + early prototypes, 262, Komet, TSR2... and if it wasn't for Concorde, there would be no TSR's left. :-[)
Easy swap for the Barbados one ;D

I had heard that the last was to be on 17th December (ironic), to one of the US sites. I think BA will prefer to fly the a/c to the desired locations, so effectively ruling out Cosford, or anywhere with no long runway. Personally I think the last two will end up at Heathrow and Musuem of Flight in Scotland...
