This is an off-shot of the Star Trek model thread. If you have pictures of model planes, train, cars...ect post them. here are a few I dug up in my picture box

F-4D and B-1B. Both 1/48 scale

EB is made from parts of a B-52D, F-18, B-1, F-4, and the space shuttle

 I'll have to see what I can come up with, I go in phases where I'll build a bunch of models and then maybe not build any for a year or two.
 Pretty much anything I had (tons of armor and aircraft) has been destroyed or lost (due to several relocations), but I may have some pictures when they were still on the shelf, right now all I have intact is my 90% complete USS Constitution and a British Airways 747-400.
 I'll try to post some pics soon.

My 0ld model shelf.

A few old photos here. I don't have my digital camera just now and these are the only shots I have on my comp. I'm working on a project at the moment and taking photos as I go (when I get my digi cam back) and I'll post them when it's done.

 Nice collection there Hawker, I will have to go through boxes of pictures to find any photos of my old collection which I mentioned earlier no longer exists, but here are a few more recent projects:

 My Dad has been a truck driver his whole life and is a huge Michigan Wolverines fan, over the years he has collected a room full of Michigan stuff, I built this truck, came up with the custom paint job and created the decal myself, then gave it to him as a surprise last Christmas:


 That's all the pics I have right now, until I get around to digging through all my old pictures to see if I can find the photos of my old armor collection, not sure if I have photos of any of the aircraft I used to have or not.

Like you hawker, I have lost, or destroyed a few of my planes, but some of the better ones I still have in boxes under the trailer.
Both you have great looking planes. I am sure that there are others out there looking for pictures still...cant wait to see them

all the ones i built have been broken over time and put into the attic, but my desk is full of pre-made models from a magazine thats avaliable here, i will get a shot of them a little later if you want.

that sound cool Craig. I used to have a 1/100 747 that was a premade. It was like the type you would find in the boeing's CEO office or a large travel agency. Well being young and nuts, on the day I graduated I had set up an awesome launch pad for it. The plane sat on a modified HO scale rail car that sat on some tracks that sat on a 2x4 that was at a 45* angle. Mounted next to each engine was a "D" size Estes rocket engine.  When the time came and the button was pushed the plane took off and actualy flew about 50 feet (15.25m). When it "Landed" the tail section fell off. Later that evening, I got an M80 from my dad (also known as a cherry bomb or a 1/4 dynamite) I sat the plane 100 ft (30.5m) from where I would be standing. I lit the bomb, threw it into the plane throug the rear and ran. When it expolded I was 100ft away and fragment hit my hand. The next day my friend and I went to see what was left. We found the tail, the wings and half the nose. We found fragments, in scale, about 100 miles away from the wings, including one piece that flew over the house.

Craig you have a fine selection there, and I can only think of one more to be added.
The first of the Century Series should have a place in your history, for its notable contribution in being the first to be able to go "Mach" in level flight.........

A guy at work has been collecting those magazine aircraft also Craig and we have them all on a big shelf over our desk! The best ones are the F-117 and that F-86. That is just a superb model.

i'll tell you now, when i first saw the Ad for these things, i thought they would be cheap bits of plastic that break two hours after buying them, but have been pleasently surprised, a few of them are a little fragile, but i do agree the F86, is an amazing model, i love how its almost all metal,
my favs have to be the harrier and the F-14. i broke the little things on the nose so it looks a little funny now:)

I have plane models as well.

However, those models are years old and they are falling apart like hell. Out of the 16 plastic models (assembly required.. ) that I have, only 3 are still in very good condition. I'm planning on putting away any plane that is not good for display but are good enough to keep. I'll also throw away any plane that is no longer worth keeping.

These are the models that are still in very good condition:

1. F-18 Blue Angels
2. AH-64 Apache
3. And a Russian one (can spell the name).
4. F-14 Tomcat

These are the models that I'm planning on putting away:

1. F-117 Night Hawk
2. SR-71 Black Bird
3. Spitfire MK11
4. F-15 Strike Eagle
5. F-16 Fighting Falcon
6. A-10 Thunderbolt
7. B-17 Flying Fortress (looks good when it's damaged. hehe)

These are the models that I'm throwing away:

1. B-52 Stratofortress (too small, too ugly, too cheap)
2. F-22 Raptor
3. AH-1 Cobra
4. Zeke (ww2 japanese plane. about the size of my hand)

There is a Museum called Wings Over Miami at Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport. I guess I'll donate my useless planes to those people. That's where I got the F-22 Raptor. The plane was in poor condition and I managed to fix it and looked good for display. However, that plane then began to fell apart (after a month or two).

I want to show you the models that are in very good condition (after lasting for more than 4 years. Whoa!!), but I don't have a camera and no previous photo of these planes and choper

We broke the whole nose, the plastic bit, off our F-117 and had to reorder the mag to get a new one!
I thought the same as you pal. I thought, ha, cheep and nasty. But although some are a bit nasty, most are very nice models.
Just one thing though, some of ours have missing decals. Our Spitfire only has code letters and roundel on one side and we couldn't get a replacement because it had sold out
