Unions in Holland speak of a 'hidden take-over'. Board of directors of KLM speak of a 'continuation for the future of KLM'. 500 employeres at KLM will loose their jobs.
For the coming 5 years, both Air France and KLM logo's and airlines will continue as they are. Continuation of homebase Schiphol for KLM will last 8 years. An exchange of stocks is made, shareholders will now own 19% KLM and 81% Air France.
As usual, government only now wishes to have insite in which guarantees are in place for employment, environmental issues, continuation of EHAM as mainport...
