OMG!!! I can't believe this! That was an amazing place, even non-bikers liked it. It really showed the evolution of motorbikes.

Ozzy :'( :( :'(

AGHHHHH!! I love bike's too. I had never been there, but I can understand the loss, all too well.

I used to work on, and restore bikes. In the restoration field, there are two basic classifications for classic motorcycles: original and restored. Depending on your preference, you may find one better than the other. But if I can provide any positive light on the subject, the rubber, plastic and paper bits might be destroyed, but as long as metal parts aren't melted or deformed, they should be able to restore most of the bikes. I hate to rub salt in the wounds, but I can't believe they didn't have a proper extinguishing system! Even water damage is much easier to repair than fire, and if not that,

That is such a shame.  My God, 650 bikes completely destroyed?   :-/  Out of curiosity, were the bikes save newer or did they lose their early bikes?  I think that would make it an even bigger loss.
