From this point forward I will no longer purchase anything from Amazon.com until they stop supporting child molestation.  This is sick and has no business even being published.

Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent them:

Sirs, This is to inform you that as long as your company continues to carry books promoting child molestation, and maintains a bulletin board where these twisted individuals can express their opinions, I will no longer purchase from your site.  Not only is this wrong, you are making yourselves an accesory to the destruction of countless innocent lives the animals harm.  By giving them a forum in your review section, they are able to contact each other and propogate their vice.

As of this date, I am cancelling all current orders (1 pending) and will no longer place new ones.  PLease rectify the situation so that I may return to purchase again.

I thought this was a joke so I looked for it at the "real" Amazon.com.  It's real and it's disgusting.

This is where PC has brought us - to be tolerant and accepting of alternative lifestyles even when those lifestyles are repugnant to every moral sense.

Kevin. I read about this with astonishment in today's newpapers although I had no idea about a forum. I support you 100%. It's rather optimistic but if enough people follow your lead they might put morals before profit for once.

Well I just tried the link and the page is out of order. Kevin it seems that your crusade has worked with lightning speed. Well Done Kevin for bringing this too their attention, and Amazon for taking notice of a legitimate complaint and reacting swiftly to it.
I'm glad you caught up on something horrific like this, as a teacher and godfather from a large family I think paedophiles are the lowest of the low.

Well, that was certainly quick. The link worked at the time of my previous reply. What I find worrying is that this rubbish was published in the first place. You can be sure they will find another way of distributing it. At least with Amazon it was out in the open & sales could be monitored. I really don't know the answer or the best way to protect our children from these ******.

Well, where are the hackers when we need them? If they can crack the M$ site this would be a doddle. Maybe they could do something useful for once.

I read some of the customer reviews and... just disgusting!

Living near Toronto, a place were the government likes to dump "reformed" child molesters, I hear of this all too often. This is just encouraging highly criminal activity. I'd be reporting this to the FBI.

We in Canada had a similar problem just this past year. A book written by Carla Hamolka, one of Canada's most infamous paedophiles and killers.  She took part in the rape murder of three teenage girls back in the early 90s, one being her own biological sister, all under 14. She actually wrote a book on the crime and there has been a lot of people wanting in to be banned. I am one of them. There is also the Holly Jones case where the 10 year old was raped and hacked to bits by a paedophile just this past spring. There is a big push in Canada to stop these people including forcing them to register their DNA.

I am aghast that Amazon could be sponsoring something as atrocious as this book.  What really scares me, however, is the reviews that came through.  When I read the first one, I was a little more optimistic, seeing that the person was as outraged at the subject on the book as I was, but once I got down to the second and third ones, I became increasingly weirded out and horrified: people were actually admitting to being twisted and sick, and then PROMOTING :-/ the book!

I am sorry, I am usually a tolerant and understanding person, but in this situation, I am completely upset and disgusted.

I've also taken this to the next level, and I've sent it to two local talk radio hosts, it's going to go to some national ones as well...

I've sent it to all of the local television stations and everyone in my address book with the hopes and instructions to not put their morals behind profits, as is the case with amazon.com.  (I've also emailed them with my boycot intentions...)

If anyone else would like to do the same, maybe we can end this crap....or at least this part of it.

Welcome to the world in which sick perverted people can now profit from their criminal activities and try and convince those of us whose brains work normally that their perversion is a recognisable "Lifestyle Choice"

I am not lost for words on this, unfortunately the forum rules mean that I cannot use them.

I'm not going to use smilies to illstrate how I feel because this goes way beyond it.  If you are 'normal' in the western world you have to accept every minority viewpoint and give it equal weight with your own.  This is the final one.  Th straw that broke the camels back.  Banning books is something I've always seen as dangerous, it reminds me of totalitarian governments and implies control of the population, ie polititians deciding what is OK for me to read and therefore think.

On this occasion I think that the various governments should do the following.

1.  Ban this book
2.  Arrest the author, give him a fair trial and then sentence him to the maximum allowable for the various offences that he clearly supports and admits to.
3.  Arrest and do the above to the board of directors of the publishers of the book.
4. Ditto for Amazon.com.
5. Track down every person who has purchased this book and place them on the sex offenders register.

Those of us who live normal lives, irrespective of colour, creed or nationality have to take a stand against these destructive forces that want to make us believe that everybody deserves equal rights.  A mentally subnormal pervert who preys on small children does not deserve any rights in the civilised world.

The internet is already infested with their evil.  Amazon should be closed down for giving them the opportunity to speak.  I feel this very strongly, there s a certain line that simply should not be crossed, they have crossed it and must now suffer the consequences.  There can be no acceptance that pedophillic relationships are even remotely normal, no help for the perpatrators, only help and support to the victims
