Does anyone know where I can download SID/STAR charts for UK airports for free? I'd really rather not pay, to be honest!

I don't really know of anywhere to download free ones, but you can go to your local airport/airfield and ask if they have any that they aren't using.  I've heard of it working!

I can't find any, thats why I always fly around the US where you can get everything from airport diagrams to dimensions on playboy of the month.  There's a much more open attitude to the access of information.
This country (UK) you don't get anything for free.

Happy flying

which is why if my mums job in another country comes through, i will be the first person on the plane and first person packing the moving boxes up, we will be out of here in the fastest possible time:)
as for charts ask at your local airport for outdated ones, i have heard they tend to just throw them away may be no good for real world but great for flight sim

This topic was covered a couple of weeks ago, but here's the basics; going to the Local FBO or local charter operator and buying is the quickest way, the only web sight that I know of for (US) charts is www.fltplan.com (although I have seen others discussed, lastly, as stated earlier, updates and  revisions are constantly required by a charter operator, go ask your local operator if they have EXPIRED charts. There not good for the real thing, but great for simulating(these should include approach plates as well). 8)

Thanks for all the replies, guys  :)

Whilst I found a few good charts, I was mostly looking for EGAA and EGAC charts, because they're the ones nearest me. I might ask them sometime and convince them to give me some old ones. Thanks again!
