The gift of life. I used to give in Britain, but I'm not allowed to in Hungary for another 11 years as there is the possibility I have mad cow disease (CJD actually). Now be honest, does anyone here think I'm mad?

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
I want to back up what Brad has said. Blood can be(is) life. It's not unusual to use 4-6 pints for each patient. You are only allowed to donate 1 pint every three months or so.
The 50 gallon club is when you give every six weeks, you must be in good shape to do this, and in an average life time that's 50 gallon, really it comes to about 46 but who counts!!! I've miss a few, but not that many!!
A bit of life you can pass on to someone!! And it flows out, no pump!! And you get FREE orange juice and cookies!! Today they were Maca-something nut cookies!! uuummmmmmm good!!!
Oh I assure you it's not a pain avoidance thing. If I'm required for whatever reason to give a blood sample...like back when I had mono...that's no problem. I had my appendix rupture on me when I was a kid, so I'm quite comfortable with needles and all that. I actually sorta enjoy it in a sick sadistic sorta way. lol
