Thank goodness my home is half
solar power, hot water and some
of the outlets. Most of the lights!
Power was off three days because of
a minor fire, but was able to get by,
and stay here the whole time!!
All is fixed, just a little mess to
pick up!!!

Playing dominos with transformers? What were they thinking? Surely someone could have just nipped down to the toyshop and brought a box! ;D

Transformers can cause big fires when the cooling oil gets over the temeprature where it starts to burn out of itself.

in the ones in your computer there is just plastic and copper wire.

in the big ones for power plants they use to get MORE voltage before sending it through the high-tension lines they have oil coolers

So they cool high voltage electricity with oil! No wonder it went wrong, you shouldn't mix electicity and liquids, even I know that ::)
I mean if you are in the bath and your drop your toaster in what happens (other than your toast getting soggy!)?
Oh and Woody, love the pic ;)
