Ok I found out that I am actually going. The line up looks V. impressive at the moment Mig 29 x2,  Eurofighter x3 and a whole lot more. Ken, (or rifleman if I still have to be formal,) if you're still here for the show you going to see our fighter in action and I think you might like V loud ;D

Crumbso pal, TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS!!! Pamela can not get time off work the following week, so we have to take our holiday starting on the first day of RIAT. So, once again, I will not be going.
Line up looks good so you should get some fantastic flying, British weather permitting!

i know about the traffic problem...but this year that was fixed, we didn't have any problems getting in and out...maybe that was the reason why it wasn't very bussy, people probably stayed home because they were scared for the traffic  ;)

The best way to avoid the Traffic I find is to do the stores and static parks after the show is done and let the rush of people who just have to get out ASAP die down a bit!

I just stayed at the end of the runway for about half an hour with a coffee watching the visitors dissapear and got to see a 747 take off about 50ft away from me.

There was alot of interesting aircraft. Although I'm a bit of a euro aircraft fiend I did enjoy some of the US displays expecially the B1b which I must say was pretty loud as I was also about 50ft away from that as well. but the Tornado is almost as loud, not quite but almost. There was a Mig-29, Mirage 2000 and an A-10. The eurofighter was impressive and it did its entire display within the boundries of the airfield and the most amazing approach seen to MAN!!!!!!

I saw everything on the checklists and must have walked at least 6-8 miles (the runway is over 2 miles long itself. It gave my walking boots their moneysworth. Oh and tempest old pal your favourite spit mark 19 was there.

It was a great airshow.
I'm just disapointed that my camera was rubbish (auto-gamma correction, so pointing it at clouds ment it got real dark >:(). I was with a mate and his brother. To say the least he was pretty stubbern. Sat at the runway for about 6 hours, and it wasnt a good photo spot for take-off/landings, and refused to move to see any statics till we saw a Spitfire and EF Typhoon.
I might go with someone else next year, or i might drive and say he'll get left behind if we dont see statics ;D 8) lol

I'll happily wonder round with someone else. I Saw every static thing on offer then found the Perfect spot for take-offs and landings. I'll e-mail you a video of where I was if you want.

You miss so much if you don't do the static parks! Many types are not really suitable for display and some come from Air Forces that don't have a display aircraft like we and the Americans and many other countrys do, so the only way you will get to see them is on static.
Glad my Spit 19 was on show. I saw it depart East Mids last week.
