SHOOTING

Postby Crumbso » Wed Jul 02, 2003 6:10 pm

Ok this one I'll try not to snap at people and relax.

I got the impression from the airsoft post that alot of you guys shoot. I would like to know what.

I do clay pigeon shooting and usually use an over and under 12 bore. I sometimes shoot rabbits at my friends house because they are a damn nuisence.

I have shot some .22 rifles but I prefer shotguns by miles.

Used to shoot when I was in the cadets, .22 Mk.8s (modified Lee Enfields), then with the Martinis that replaced the Mk.8s and finaly the L98 GP ;D

I grew up around fire arms and have shot all types. Carried an M-16 in the USAF, and a S&W Model 10 .38 specail working casino security. The only gun I own now is a 1973 Winchester .22 cal pellet gun my wife bought for me for $20.

I've fired a .22 rifle a lot, and shot a 12 gauge shotgun, a .243 rifle, a .38 special pistol, and an antique sixshooter that was either a .44 or .45.

I know a guy who has an M-16 which I would like to shoot once or twice

When I was a little lad I used to go around shooting and killing every small creature that moved..... >:(...!

Now that I am a big lad, I have thought better of it, and I don't do it any more, which means that there are lots of very happy small creatures running/flying around now... ;D...!
The words "Shooting", "Killing" and "Fun" don't fit into the same category any more, for me.. ;)...!

...the gun culture leaves me stone cold... >:(...!

Cheers all... ;D...!

I shoot anything that I can lay my hands on. I have done clay pigeon with an over/under 410 shotgun.

I shoot rabbits and other vermin with my .22 Weirauch HW95K air rifle or my .177 HW35.

I sometimes shoot with my dads .22 semi auto Ruger carbine.

I have also fire numerous air pistols and BB guns.

However I really want to have a go on a .50 browning, a Lee Enfield MKIII SMLE, a Bren gun and a H&K MP5.

Bloody hell yeah a bren gun would be amazing. The nicest looking gun of ww2.

a .410 is like a damn peashooter not really much use if you ask me. try going for a 12 bore or if you want to bruise you shoulder try the 8 bore.

Hows about a Duck gun? I think its about a 2bore and mounted on a canoe! ;D

What you do is hide in reeds and slowly paddle out towards a group of ducks on a lake. Then when your in range you open fire kill all the ducks in one shot and propelled back into the reeds by the kick! One helluva weapon. :D

I prefer stalking a target before shooting it. Gives you a nice challenge.

I used to shoot in the military quite a lot, and I've been lucky, I've had goes with the SLR, GPMG, Bren, L42A1, SA80, LSW, L98A1 (awful thing!), H&K MP5/Kurz/SD, AK47, AK74, M203 (love that), Minimi, Milan, SPAS 12/15, Remington 870, Browning Hi-Power, various Glocks and Smith & Westons, H&K G3.
I used to spend a lot of my free time on the range ;D
Oh and I own a Webley airpistol and a Beretta M92.
But I only do sport shooting these days, I don't agree with hunting.

why are you people facinated with primitive projectials that throw bits of lead at the speed of sound?? ???
5 years ago my uncle left a gun out on the porch after killing a few pesky rabbits, he forgot to put it away and my cousion (10 years old) shoot himself in the leg, thankfully he was not killed (and missed his privates ;) ).
ok i don't want to rave on and sound like a hippy, but guns i think people shouldn't use, unless if they gona take responcebility, but ok i see you people are doing that, be carefull :)

Fine you don't like guns.

Its just a hobby.

I would never ever leave a gun lying around ever specially if its loaded!

Why follow a stupid little ball around a field and be so obsessed. Most hobbies don't have a point. Besides theres a point to shooting rabbits they make a damn tasty meal.
