I'm in a bit of a bickle, me lads.  It seems a new game I have has really bad music.  Add my own right?  Not so simple.  It's this wierd format called .ASF, and after I ripped my CDs, I can't seem to find anything to convert what Windows Media Player left my tracks on (.WMA) to this weird .ASF format.  Do y'all have any ideas?

ASF is a MS patented audio/video file type.  You can unencode them, which doesn't help you much, but there doesn't seem to be anything available to encode them.  I'm sure MS would sell you an overpriced package to do that.

One thing might work.  Just change the extensions from .wma to .asf.  I tried it and it worked with WiMp7.  But that's no guarantee it will work in your game.

Also, when you're ripping these turn security OFF or you won't be able to play the files on another machine.

what game is it you want to change the music for?

Craig, it's Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2.  I just learned from another forum that these files aren't really .ASF files, I'm trying to find out what they are right now.  Still haven't been able to find any Need for Speed forums.

I don't know where the security settings are because I refuse to use WiMP unless absolutely necessary.  If it's not security it's digital rights management or whatever prevents a wma file from being played on another computer.

I just grand theft auto vice city the music is great 80's rock radio station kicks arse Ozzy Osborne, Alcatrazz and quiet riot. I added acdc of course I love it.

i listen to flash FM for the music, and KChat for chat. the presenter on there cant remember her name now, shes really funny(sounds like sarah michelle gellar to) and best guest has to be pat flangerthingy:)
