 Anybody watch headline news or heard about the riots in Benton Harbor Michigan?
 This is all taking place only 20 miles west of where I live. As a matter of fact, we do a lot of our shopping in Benton Harbor.
 
 Apparently some idiot was racing his rice rocket at over 100 MPH running stop lights and such, so gee, wouldn't you expect the cops to chase you?
Well the guy ends up crashing into the side of a house and dies, now the citizens are pissed, trying to blame it on the police, saying there shouldn't be any high speed chases.
 Hmm, no high speed chases, that means if you're a criminal all you have to do is drive real fast and you'll get away free every time because the cops won't be allowed to pursue you. They say this would protect citizens, seems to me it just protects criminals even further.
Already it seems criminals have more rights than victims.

 I guess this has been going on for two nights now, I have programmed my police scanner with all the appropriate frequencys, they are supposed to start enforcing a ten o'clock curfew tonight, this ought to be interesting!

i'm sorry but thats gotta be the dumbest thing i have ever heard, no high speed chases, once again its people trying to pass on the blame to someone else when someone they know is affected. i seriously hope this gets sorted quickly in favor of the cops.

I didn't hear about that riot, but I think I heard about a smaller one in vancouver

I'm with you Paz,  I don't know what the heck people are thinking telling the police they were wrong for doing their jobs.  There are conditions when you should call off a chase for public safety, such as on a busy highway or when there are lots of pedestrians around; but it is my understanding it was late at night, the streets were empty, and the only person hurt was the criminal.  Even the house he hit was abandoned.  Jesus people, get it together!  I am so SICK of people saying this kind of crap...

Its unbelievable. If the police didn't do their job and just let the criminals get on with it these boneheads would be screaming too!!!
I can't believe how dumb some people are, I've got both friends and family in The Force in Blighty, and I admire them v.much, I couldn't do their job.
