Mine is just under 9gb, by about 2kb! I cleared a load of my old scenery add-ons and aircraft out that I don't use anymore this morning as I got the 'you are nearly out of diskspace you wally' message, and its still this big! I think its perfectly normal! So I'm down to the bare essentials.... 27 Spitfires, some big Antonov stuntplanes, a few helis etc etc.

3.5Gb... Not bad I suppose... Considering I don't play it that much. I need the space on my PC too... It will not get much bigger.

I have two hard drives.

The main one is 20 Gig in size. 9 Gig used, 11 Gig free.
The spare on is 10 Gig in size. 7 Gig used, 3 Gig free.

My main FS 2002 folder is 2.3 Gig in size.

My aircraft folder is 982 Mb in size, and contains many more planes than I will ever use... 8)...!!!

My Gauges folder is 165 Mb in size, and I swear it contains a nest with a Queen Gauge inside. Every time I open it there are many more little gauges in there than there were the day before..... ???....!
I'm sure they breed over night.... :'(...!
LOL...LOL...LOL...!

The remaining space in the FS 2002 folder is make up of various utilities, effects, scenery, and lots of other things, like Icons, etc, of which I have no idea what they do.... ::)....!
LOL...!

Cheers...
Paul.

You missed out my category (4 - 5 Gb). Mine is 4.21 Gb so I clicked the category below. I seem to remember a full install of FS2002 is around 1.8 Gig so this should be subtracted to get an idea of what you've added. I have 178 aircraft folders installed including the defaults.

The civil sims are not my first love. I have 3 duplicate installs of CFS2 & 2 of CFS1. I also have FS98 & FS2000 installed with many addons in all cases.  All this on a 40 Gb HD. Many panels & sounds are aliased to save space. Nothing is there that doesn't need to be & FS utilites etc. are installed to a separate directory. My addon scenery for all M$ sims is installed to a remote scenery directory so it does not affect the size of the sim root directories.

...nah....it's enormous, has a long tail, long legs, and a mechanical, extending, dripping jaw which threatens to rip my inside out if I even think of removing any of the little gauges from the Gauge Nest Folder... :o....!

LOL...LOL...LOL... ;D...!

Cheers...
