Messenger Pop-Ups

I have been getting hit by spammers using the ms messenge service when on line, sometimes 9 or 10 in a few minutes -- I found it extremely annoying, so I found out how to disable it (it is on win2k and xp but needs to be installed on win98). One of them has offered a program to prevent the very problem he is creating so in revenge, I am providing some instructions to disable it for yourself (free):

Click on the Start button
Open the Control panel.
Go to Administrative Tools.
Double-click on Services.
Scroll to Messenger.
Double-click on Messenger
Click Stop to stop the service.
Change the Startup type to Disabled.

These boneheads are too much!!

A good firewall stops them too.
