You can take a flying lesson from any age, however when it comes to training for
either the National Private Pilots Licence (N.P.P.L) or the European Private
Pilots Licence (JAA-PPL), you must be at least 14 years old to log flying time,
countable towards your licence.
To go first solo, where you will be in command of the aeroplane yourself, you
must be atleast 16 years old, and for licence issue you must be atleast 17 years
old.
Hope this helps,

Mabye I'm better off waiting till next year so I can try and log a few hours
