MOHAA - Slow Server

Whenever I play online, I sometime get a little logo at the bottom that says "Slow Server".  This isn't my question, nor is it a problem, since I have a dial-up 56K, so I don't expect puch.  The best ping for a game I've seen is ~278.  However, since updating with the 1.11 (I think, it was the one I saw at the Official Site) patch, I get that same little logo during offline play.  I don't know how to turn it off either.  Which is the question, how do I?

PS: Sorry if all these Medal of Honor posts are annoying.  I recently was reading some posts at a Command & Conquer forum, and the freindliness was comparable to a hungry Tyrannosaurus.  Thus I'm tending to post all my questions here. :-[ ::)

You cannot turn that little flashing thing off without having a fast computer and a very fast internet connection ;)

Me and my brother sometimes play the game over a LAN and it will sometimes flash 'slow server'. Usually turning down some graphic settings stops it

No, I think you've got the wrong idea.  Keyword here is offline.  As in your base 6 missions.  I'm not even connected when I get this little bugger.  Prepatch, everything was OK.  I run everything maxed out except subtitles and shadows (set to simple) and get some good frames.

Sorry, I didn't see the word 'offline' in your original post :-[

Try turning some graphic settings in the game and see if it disappears

If it's any help my version gets unhappy if I'm online when I start and if I'm offline it tries to make me connect to the net.  When I tell it rather firmly not to it tends to behave.

Other than that I suggest un-installing and then re-installing and not bothering with the patch. If you can find where the game stores saved game data you shouldn't lose your place.

Will ;D
