Hey, I've always wondered how a Boeing 737-800 would look like if the 737 family kept the JT8D engines? But then with the winglets. What do you think of it? I think it would be pretty cool, but also a bit noisy

Well it would look strange! Those small round engines.
Lot more noisy as you say. Lot less efficient and therefore higher air fares. Lot more polluting and fuel consuming. & probably less safe.
Just looked it up. Going back to '68. Imagine a modern day bus with an old 1970 engine ….

Still. Interesting idea.

such itty bitty engines on a stretched plane lol
