...a slight afterthought, Den.... ...

I remembered, when it was too late, that I had the Herby Dumpling mix at the back of my larder....

...but the next day I made the same meal again, ('cos it was so nice), and this time I included the Dumplings to complete the picture!

I always include some dried mixed herbs with the Dumplings to make them even nicer!

Paul....with added Suet.... ;) ... ;) ...!

It's a cool, dull, wet, miserable day again, today, but another hot, tasty meal will make it all fade into the background....

..... :o .....!

To find it, you would have to remove all the vegetables first, to reveal the luscious liquid, Zaph.... ;) ... ;) ...!

That is the source of the magic!

Paul...Magical Gravy... :D ....!

P.S...In that first recipe, I should have included....>>>

AFAIK, a “stew” is cooked on a hob in a pan and a “Casserole” is baked in an oven in a dish. Don’t take my word for it though; my idea of “cooking” is to pour boiling water into a Pot Noodle!

Conventionally, perhaps, but I'm more accustomed to the radar-in-box, even for baking... a 4-to-3 ratio of softened ice cream [I use non-sugar] + self-rise flour, @ 8 minutes at 80% power = a quick-made sweet-bread to sop up on your plate (or bowl).

8-)

P.S. µ~ baking time is 'usually' @ 1/3 conventional, so @ 24min at 350° for the longer, conventional endeavor.

One of my sons, some 30+ years ago gave me his unwanted; "radar-in-a-box", (Microwave Oven), and from that day to this, I have never used it! It sits gloomily on my kitchen shelf whilst I have always enjoyed proper-cooking on and in my trusty English Electric, Beko, etc, Gas/Electric Stoves. I could never get used to the time necessary to cook various foods quickly and successfully in a Microwave Oven! I always prefer to cook things very slowly, (for hours), in a conventional Gas/Electric Oven or Hob. I can see what is going on!

My two loves in life:
(1) My Motorcycle.
(2) My Gas Oven.

I need very little more!

Paul.... :D ...!
