Its difficult to imagine....

Postby Fozzer » Tue Mar 20, 2018 3:08 am

...that after today, there will be no more Northern White Rhinos left in the World!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-43468066

It has to be a sad time when such a magnificent animal fades from existence and just becomes part of history!

So much wonderful flora and fauna have disappeared, since the time I was born!

Fond memories of various wild flowers....no longer seen.

As a species we are not very good at looking after and living with our fellow earth inhabitants. Sadly the Rhino is the latest in a very long line to leave us never to be seen again.

A world-wide history of our species. It seems the hunting of mammoth and native species of horse, treated much as a deer, brought them to impending extinction in the ancient Americas; the modern wild horses, as well as the domestics, are descendants of Old World immigrants (primarily, Spanish).
