Lost Icons for most visited sites.

Postby Anthindelahunt » Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:53 pm

I have a problem that I can't find an answer for.

I have not found a solution on line.
The problem is.I have lost my most visited sites.
Pressing the Chrome button and there were eight large
square icons with the home pages shown in the squares.
I run Windows 7 64 bit.
Any idea how I can get them back?

I personally do not use nor will I ever use CHROME
I just do not like it and it does not always work correctly for a lot of sites.
I use FIREFOX and have never had any problems
I googled this and found the following https://productforums.google.com/forum/ ... 7j48jI1b6k

Remember GOOGLE is your friend So just GOOGLE Missing Icons in chrome and you will see the same results I got

Me?...

I use Firefox for all my regular Browsing ....

..and only use Chrome for "Youtube", and "Chromecast" from my Computer/Internet for my TV applications...(All "Google" stuff!).

I don't like the Chrome browser "top heading". Not enough selections there, like there is in Firefox!

...The good news....got lots of chrome on my cruiser motorcycle, tho!... ...!

Hi Anthin, tiz a weird problem indeed, I don't use Chrome very often, mostly for Earth, but the new tab works well with mine all the mostly used sites showing up (all two of em). I have just been playing with FVD Speed Dial from the Chrome Webstore which lets you make your own short-cuts and it's dead easy to use.

Cheers

Thanks for that Rich.Really appreciated.
I tried system restore without luck. A couple
of days ago they suddenly reappeared.
The next time I booted up the compute, they
were gone again. AAArrrg.

I will try your suggestion and thanks.

Try 'Comodo Ice Dragon'. It is small footprint, based on FireFox, works good. Used it for years now. Won't use anything else. I use Free AVAST Anti Virus and they get along good because AVAST 'behaves' like AV should. And Avast has a 'Game' option (won't update while you FltSim).

PS: Did you try doing a system restore? Might work.

Thanks for the reply Napamule.
I had no luck with system restore. It usually
fixes most problems but sadly not this time.
Will try your suggestions.
Thanks.
