Catching the thieving toe-rags!

http://kron4.com/2017/12/20/video-haywa ... h-thieves/

It is common practice in the USA for the postal service, etc, to leave delivered packages, etc, outside on the porch of houses, etc, encouraging snap thieves to steal them!

It is a practice which always surprises me; as here in the UK, great care is taken to prevent such practices happen, and not leave packages unattended...always specify a safe location to deliver, leave with a neighbour, or leave a message and return the package back to the dispatch point.

Every day, on my Kron4 News, is yet another example of Package theft from the outside of premises! ......Something needs to be done!*

*Its time all these thieves were fried!

What are you suggesting?

A shake-sensitive switch that initiates a timer...
You hear a distant boom...
You look outside your door to see that the package you put there is, well... gone!!

I read recently that in the US, Amazon is planning a delivery service inside your house. I believe you would provide them with a digital key to your digital front door lock, or some such. But do you really want a stranger in your house? The package might be delivery safely but the silverware might be gone...

In an era whereby we no longer wholeheartedly and unreservedly trust law enforcement, why on earth would we permit some scabby delivery driver into our homes.

The original article was a decoy package placed by the police to trap thieves!....>>>>

...which I thought was an excellent idea, having watched videos of the thieves at work on the San Francisco News Channel!

Over here, Amazon gives us a choice of where the packages are to be delivered safely.

A 3D printer will fix it.
In 5 years you will have it in your home.
And it is "produced" at your desk.

Much of the time I don't want me in the house, let alone someone/something else.

Put a harmless black snake in a fake package and let 'em take it. Toss in some toilet paper too, they'll need it.
