I was hoping that we could get through the whole of Winter again, without any Snow and Ice!

The landing strip at the bottom of my garden is closed for a while!

I can well do without this stuff. I can't believe that some folks seem to like it!.... :o ....!

My Motorcycle (Daisy) and I are stranded indoors on my Housing Estate until it all melts again!

...no shopping!

Only the major roads are cleared of snow!

I'm going to get back into bed until the Spring comes around again..... ....!

Whats the weather like in your neck of the woods, Chums?

Paul..... :D ...!

Holy moly Fozzer. :o
That is some serious white stuff. Your poor Daisy
looks like she is freezing her ya ya's off. :naughty:

If it keeps like that can someone drive you to
the supermarket?

Looks more like Canada than England. :banana-skier:

Here it is hot and sunny. It is getting too hot
for me.30+ C. :angry-fire:

Anthin. :shifty:

A few flakes is all we have had in this part of Lincolnshire, the grass is still green and the roads clear.

When I stuck my trusty Tape Measure into it first thing this morning it measured 6 inches on top of the garden fence...

Since then it has been snowing all day long and adding to it.

Now, when I stand it, I can barely see over the top of the snow...(maybe).... :liar: ....!

Paul.... :D ....!

@Anthin....

When the snow (and ice) is that bad, I am stranded at home until it all melts. (My Bikes are my only means of transport). I just have to make sure I've got from the shops all I need beforehand to last me for a while.

...or I die!...

Paul....30 degrees F is what I need at the moment!..... ..... ....!

Fahrenheit v Celcius.

...always my confusion!!..... ....!

I have to use "Fahrenheit" because of all my American Forum Chums!
Like me, they are still locked in Imperial Measurements!

85F was the highest I reached last Summer, for two days!...85F was very nice, I remember!....Shirt sleeves on my Motor Bike!.... ...!

Take care Anthin!

Paul....Freezing cold all next week.... ....!

Good evening Paul

Got just the thing for you:
-turn on your Outdoor Christmas Lights
-Put on some nice jolly Christmas Carols
-turn on your indoor Christmas Tree Lights
-go over to all your neighbor's caroling

We have not seen any snow yet and it is hovering around plus 9 Celsius.

Anthin...when we get snow I shall send some to you...
Saw the picture of your home and it is lovely.

Peter...the weatherman keeps telling us we are going to get snow squalls...he lied all summer about the rain so not going to believe him now either.

And I awoke to a mere 4", the first snow for us southern Vermonters. BUT, 8-12" is forecast for Tuesday. It's this kind of weather that 1) gets me outside to clean the walkway/driveway 2) allows me to snowshoe or walk in the silent, white woods or 3) stay inside and warm my room with my flight sim computer humming along sipping coffee all day.

Being a native New Englander, snow is no big deal around here.

Thanks Doug.

Weathermen lie through their teeth.
They are the same all over the world. :liar:

When I was young, growing up in Hogtown
I used to charge 50 cents to shovel snow
off drives and paths. Did really well.

Anthin....Maple Leafs forever.

Especially if most of it stays on your side of the Connecticut River. We only need enough of it to be white for the winter and ease the confusion when your Green Mountains take on the decor of our White Mountains.

Some examples of American Xmas light decorations for their houses....>>>>

Over here, in the land of the English, we are allowed by law (probably) to lynch anyone on our housing estate who assembles such ridiculous monstrosities to lower the tone of the neighbourhood..... ....!

We mostly gave up all this fancy festive stuff when the Pilgrim Fathers left our shores for pastures new to assemble all their fairy lights, etc.

Anyone brave enough to try it and keep everyone awake at nights, (and during the day), and annoy everyone around them, is looked upon with ridicule, and shunned like the plague!

I suspect that we will see very little of it on our estate.....(or elsewhere in England?)..... ;) ....!

...thank goodness!.... ....!

Paul.....Hallee-bleedin' Loo-Ya!..... .... ....!

P.S...Its now Monday morning, and we are still up to our ears in snow and no sighn of a thaw!... :o ....!

Paul,

If we had snow like that in the Houston area, it would be a traffic nightmare.

We had the white stuff last Friday, first time in 8 years.
