I'm not an engineer but you might try a slightly heavier weight. All I ask is that you not get mad at me if it doesn't work.

Most things do run slower with a heavier weight -- at least, I surely do. In fact, with enough weight on our pendulum we won't run at all...

With the cold wintry weather that we are now experiencing in the Northern Hemisphere, I notice not only a reduction in the weight but also in the bulk of my pendulum!

Time for warmer underwear.
