...I am following the news, minute by minute, of the devastating wind and flood damage in the State of Texas and the surrounding States by the Tropical Storm Harvey...>>>

...and I am wondering if any of my Flight Sim Chums are being affected by it?

The amount of damage caused to people and property is overwhelming!

What a disaster! ... :o ....!

We only received a couple inches of rain and some gusty wind up here in the Shreveport area of North West Louisiana.

This is the sort of stuff that really gets ya, con artists trying to make a buck out of it. I remember getting a call, maybe after a hurricane struck somewhere, from someone claiming to be a local police officer, asking for donations, yeah, right, like I'm gonna fall for that one. Be careful who you speak to. Better yet, don't speak to anyone over the phone, there's other ways to donate.

Just had a look on Google Street Map...

Looks like you may be OK providing it doesn't track North East towards Arkansas (Ark-in-saw) as predicted.

Paul I live about 150 miles from it and it looks like an ocean. Trillions of dollars worth of damage. The great thing about it though is that I have never seen people come together like they have. Everybody helping out. Our President has really done a great job as well as our Gov. Also our friends from La. have really helped us out as well. BOIkat I hope you are o.k. in Shreveport. That city has a terrible drainage problem also, I hope you are high and dry. I live in Tyler, Tx and haven't had a drop.

Roy, it looks like the floods are not the only thing that some residents of Tyler have reason to be worried!

Tyler, Texas; From Google Street Map.

Smith County Court at Law: Warrants outstanding.

All clear up here. By the time Harvey came through it was already down-classed to a tropical depression.

I often deal with stress through humor, even strange humor; some of you may have noticed my humor mode, itself, has been a bit stressed recently.
As many know and I informed above, our hurricane season isn't over.
Mother Nature shares her migraines.
