A small home with a couple of planes :D

John Travolta's House Is A Functional Airport With 2 Runways For His Private Planes

Al Gore has a small home in Monticello, California overlooking the Pacific Ocean. But he can't fly his own planes.

He has another small home in Nashville, Tennessee. But no airport there either.

I wonder how he makes all that money?

Personally, I'd take 5 acres of good old Forested land, a modest single level home with a Workshop, a simple grass landing strip with a T-hangar, and a little Line Shack out on the far side of the Property line. River access would be a plus...

Sounds real good.

The only thing that I would add is Grumman Goose to go fishing/camping in. Just imagine waking up, making coffee, and drinking it in the pilot's seat as the sun comes up. :D

Not a mansion, but one of those homes at the side of a grass landing strip, very close to watter, in Florida    http://www.ipre.com/real_estate/luxury- ... on-florida

BUT I can't even afford a modern PC :snooty: :snooty: :snooty:

Its all the "Seattle wet stuff" that puts me off the Pacific Northwest!

http://theweatherprediction.com/weather ... index.html

Every film, documentary, photograph, etc, that I see of the Seattle (Washington) area, shows it to be a miserable, wet, damp place!

Not the sort of place to plant my old arthritic bones!

The Boeing factory must be under rainwater for most of the year!

The Space Needle was built as a refuge for the Governor of Washington and his family during the rain season....(Probably)....!

The Pacific South-west is more amenable to me.... :D ...!

I need warmth and dryness!... ....!

A log cabin with veranda and a huge stone fireplace by a lake or river, somewhere in the PNW. A workshop/hanger and two DHC Beavers, one with skis/wheels and one amphibian. Access to a road would be good for the Dodge Charger and V8 Land Rover. 8-) 8-)

Cheers
