Just about every time that I think that I'm absolutely right, I'm frequently wrong.


Science isn't all that different.

The Universe Has 10 Times More Galaxies Than Scientists Thought

That's not 10 more more galaxies, which would be quite impressive, but ten times more galaxies.

And I thought that I've been wrong at times.

They will almost certainly find, as time goes on, that is also wrong ......

I wonder how this will relate to "Dark matter" - and the missing mass/energy.

The standard model of cosmology indicates that the total mass–energy of the universe contains 4.9% ordinary matter, 26.8% dark matter and 68.3% dark energy. Thus, dark matter constitutes 84.5% of total mass, while dark energy plus dark matter constitute 95.1% of total mass–energy content. The great majority of ordinary matter in the universe is also unseen, since visible stars and gas inside galaxies and clusters account for less than 10% of the ordinary matter contribution to the mass-energy density of the universe.

Just got back from the shop and they have the same amount of Galaxies as yesterday.

Every day we learn something now about the Universe and our tiny part in it, in a word Awesome (Sorry Paul)

Just as "Parts is Parts" when it comes to Chicken Nuggets, Science is all about testing Ideas by Experiment and Observation, building on those Ideas that pass the test, rejecting the ones that fail, following the evidence wherever it leads, and to Question... EVERYTHING.

That's all... just some basic tenets to keep everything fair.

Hello Rich...

I still have my trusty Amiga's 500, and 1200 (with expansions)...

....together with a bedroom full of Sinclair and Commodore and Atari computers, and all their hardware and software (manuals, games etc)!
..and various 1970, 1980+ Games consoles....

I am still buried in 1980....

...and loving every bit of it!.... ...!

Well.... that may be with old data.

I have one basic thing to say about all of this -- all of our theories, research and beliefs about the universe are far flung...

And, remember: a mind is like a parachute...it only works when open.
