One hugely seen-ic drive, I'd say.

How can Hawaii have an interstate highway?

(Nice looking, though)

Freeway, parkway, super highway, turnpike ... "interstate", interchangeable terms for the same thing, depending on location and the year.

Hawaii has 3 interstates, H-1, H-2, and H-3. The H-3 ran directly from the entrance of my base (Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay) to Honolulu, going through the mountains in a series of tunnels. It is absolutely gorgeous. I used to make that drive everyday when I was stationed there and even when it rained it was beautiful.

1.

interstate commerce.

noun
2.
a highway serving two or more states.

3.
(sometimes initial capital letter) a highway that is part of the nationwide U.S. Interstate Highway System.

What a lot of people don't realize is the highways connect Hawaii to California. The H interstate system runs beneath the Pacific. When somebody invents a long distance submersible car it might make the news.
