Merry Christmas ALL

Postby Flying Trucker » Thu Dec 24, 2015 6:12 pm

Goodly evening all... ;)

Christmas Shopping done, Gifts all wrapped, most gifts under the Christmas Tree except the ones Santa Clause will bring...

Sipping on an eggnog and rum, will start making calls to all the grandchildren and great grandchildren to make sure they get to bed or are in bed.

At about 21:30hrs will leave a glass of milk and a couple of the Old Girls homemade peanut butter cookies together on the kitchen table for Santa Clause, the Reindeer will get hay and water left out at the Old Homestead by the grandchildren.

I shall call the Royal Canadian Air Force Station around 20:00hrs to make sure the Brylcreem College Boys are in the Air clearing the way for Santa Clause and his Reindeer which are really Caribou in Canuckland. Santas Sleigh always has Navigation/Position Lights, Rotating Beacons and Strobes but wow is it fast.... :o

Well the Old Girl and I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays... ;)
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Goodly morning all...yes it is Christmas Morning here in Canuckland....I started calling the grandchildren and great grandchildren around 05:30hrs. as well as some neighbours children to let them know Santa Clause had been, found they were all up...seems Santa Clause was good to them all...

Here in Canuckland where the Old Girl and I are there is no SNOW, that is unusual, the temperature is usually on the Minus Celsius Scale with a least a foot or two of snow for Christmas Day.

No SNOW forecasted until next week perhaps and the temperatures are on the Plus side of the Celsius Scale.

I need to do my Snow Dance before folks start going outside and mowing/cutting their lawns/grass :o

Will meet at the Bugsmasher Field around 10:00am to exchange gifts with the other Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezers, we draw names and have a set limit which to spend. Works great and we have been doing this for years.

Then it is off to the Old Homestead, the Old Girl has been driving back and forth all week, our eldest son is away flying for God-Queen-and the Universe... :o Will be home on the 6th of January.
However most of our other children are home this year with their families but did not make it to Ontario this Christmas, next year there will be several Family Reunions and one is planned for Christmas.
Well it seems the Old Girl just got off the phone again with our Daughter in Law and between the two of them all is going according to the great plan

Now it is time to tell you fellow Simviation Members just how good...great I was this year...

From METAL EARTH I got the 3D laser cut models of:
-De Havilland Tiger Moth
-Avro Lancaster Bomber
-SR-71-Blackbird

https://www.fascinations.com/metalearth

Now here is something I bet my fellow Simviation Members did not know :o

Santa Clause has Elves working secretly for the Flight SimPilot Shop and also for Federal Express...yes...great idea Santa

Now here is what I found in my Huge Red Christmas Stocking this morning:
Aerosoft:
PBY Catalina, Twin Otter X

Alabeo:
C195 Businessliner, Waco YMF5, D17 Staggerwing

Xtreme Prototypes:
Avro CF-105 Avro Arrow

CRI:
Aeronca Champ

Flysimware:
1947 Cessna 120

Carenado:
Cessna 152 11, Pa-28-181 Archer 11, V35B Bonanza, CT210M Centurion
Beechcraft Mentor T34B, C172N Skyhawk 11 Ski, PA-34 200T Seneca 11, C340 11

Flight Replicas:
DH.114 Heron

Virtualcol:
Dash 8 Series X

Well looks like I am going to be busy for awhile

Now if I can just get our eldest son to finish his Motion Simulator down in the Hangar and stay home long enough to build me a Motion Simulator that would be awesome :violin:

Every year Santa Clause seems to drop off a present or two at one of our Simviation Members WigWam, CHUCK...is there anything under your Christmas Tree for me this year that maybe Santa dropped off to you by mistake Chuck :?:

Have a Merry Christmas everyone and leave the over eating to me... ;)

If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.

Today is Boxing Day...the stores everywhere will be packed with folks looking for those big savings...Boxing Day is busier than Black Friday.

My personal feelings are if they can sell something before Christmas at one price then on Boxing Day sell it for 50% or More Less and not take a loss, plus still pay their employees for working a Holiday then we as the general consumer and public are being gouged
