Hello all. I'm getting back into flight sims for the first time since Jane's F-15 & AH-64 nearly 20 years ago. Figured I would pop in and say hi as I'll be poking around the forums a bit in my search for a community to tie some roots too. I picked up FSX-SE a couple weekends ago and getting my bearings again. With my background, I've naturally ventured straight towards the military aircraft...been having a blast in Dino Cattaneo's T-45 & F-14 along w/ Aerosoft's F-16 that I just snagged on Sunday. I've got to say, I knew the flight-sim community was big...but the amount of peripheral programs & add-ons has blown me away. One of my favorite sites to play around w/ so far has been SkyVector. Who knew planning flight routes could be so entertaining.
I snagged DCS World (w/ Flaming Cliffs 3) as well, but haven't spent too much time in it yet. It's certainly pretty intense...and I need to really sit down and spend some time to learn the systems to really utilize the sim at all.
