One of the most inoffensive creatures ever created!
I always feel that I am in good company with Tortoises....
....!..we are both very reluctant to go anywhere very quickly, which may account for our increased age.
We don't wear ourselves out unnecessarily...
...trust me...!Years ago, we always used to keep Tortoises in our gardens, and keep a careful eye on them during their Winter hibernation period....
...something else which I have in common with Tortoises!....
...!But nowadays their purchase is quite restricted....and they can be very expensive to purchase!
All our tortoises were always named; "Joey". but whether or not they responded to their name, I don't know?...
...!Give them a Lettuce leaf and they are happy!
